The Scientific Committee, alongside the Publisher, defines the editorial strategies and the cultural direction of the Publishing House contributing to its promotion. It validates the publication proposals and grants the scientific quality of the collection.
The Scientific Committee of the Series is made up of internationally recognized professors from research institutions in Italy and abroad.
The Direction of the series is entrusted to two Directors, responsible for handling the relations between the Publisher and presenting the publication proposals to the Scientific Committee.
Tiziana Bertaccini is a professor of Latin American History in the Department of Cultures, Politics and Society at the University of Turin. You studied History of Latin America with Marco Bellingeri who was your director of your thesis, degree and doctorate. You lived for many years in Mexico where you worked in various institutions, and were a researcher at the Instituto de Investigaciones Historicas of UNAM in Mexico City (2005-2008). Her lines of research concern the political-institutional history of the 20th and 21st centuries, supranational politics, regional integrations and borders. She is coordinator of the international network of comparative studies on borders Rec Fronteras; she is a member of the steering committee of the Risi Journal of the Società Italiana Storici Internazionali and of De Europa – European and Global Study Journal of the University of Turin. Among her publications are Ficción y realidad, del héroe popular (Universidad Iberoamericano y CONACULTA, México, 2001); El régimen priísta frente a la clases medias (1943-1964) (CONACULTA, Mexico, 2009); Le Americhe Latine nel XX secolo (Feltrinelli, Milan, 2014).
He is full professor of the Departamento de Humanidades de la Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana de México (UAM), Unidad Cuajimalpa (Mexico City), level-three national researcher of the SNI, member of the Academia Mexicana de Ciencias, and of the Academia Mexicana de la Historia, as well as emeritus professor of UAM. As a winner of the research award of the Academia Mexicana de Ciencias (1999) and the historical research career award Daniel Cosío Villegas (2022, INEHRM), he is an author of multiple works, including Presencia española en la Revolución mexicana, 1910-1915 (1991, Marcos y Celia Maus award, UNAM), Hacia la república del trabajo: El mutualismo artesanal del siglo XIX (1996, second edition revised and expanded in 2016), Rhodakanaty y la formación del pensamiento socialista en México (2002, Edmundo O’Gorman award, INAH), Las otras ideas.
